Abstract
An attempt to the determination of normal blood pressure values about Korean boys and girls rang ing between 6 years and 15 years of age was made. The measurement of casual blood pressure foil-owed the recommendation made by American Heart Association was carried out in resting state and exciting or irritative state in the Hospital, during May, June and September, October, 1967. The total number of persons men nred were 7.697 including 1, 851 males and 1, 846 females. The result of this observation were as follows.
1) Gradual elevation of both the mean systolic and diastolic pressures were noted with the increase of -age, and the pressures of female in this study were higher than those of male except 7 and 11 years of age.
2) The Histogram of frequency distribution of blood pressures showed nearly axial - symmetry to the mean.
3) The minimal and maximal level of normal blood pressure ranges were gradually elevated by - the increase of age.
4) The mean blood pressures measured in exciting and irritative states in the hospital were significantly higher than those of resting state in school, and the difference of values were decreased by the increase of the age.
